How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth by Gordon D. Fee and Douglas Stewart
After four decades of teaching God’s Word, I am convinced that followers of Jesus need more than a Sunday morning sermon, or a weekday Bible lesson. Scripture, combined with a life of prayer and service to others is vital for spiritual growth. Yet, many people struggle to read the Bible.
Part of the answer to this struggle – though not all, we need to make a personal commitment to spend time in the scriptures – is learning how to understand the Bible using various tools. Many of those tools are provided in this excellent book. I have recommended it for many years, and seen the way it opens up the Bible for those seeking to grow in both biblical knowledge and spiritual formation.
