Is it possible for followers of Jesus NOT to define or identify themselves by politics, race, gender, or any of the other markers that so often divide and dehumanize others? Is there a higher calling? Yes, there is!
At Embrace, we identify ourselves first and foremost as citizens of God’s kingdom. Red or blue, black or white, whatever color, we welcome the rainbow of diversity in our world. No, we may not all agree on politics, lifestyle, or the many other things that divide and dilute the Good News that Jesus announced. And what exactly is that Good News? It is the news that God’s Kingdom is, right now, among us, His Spirit at work within us.
Will you join us? Will you choose to rise above the divisions of our angry, fractured, and dying world? Will you commit not only your words but your heart and soul, your mind and strength, to the prayer Jesus taught us to pray? Asking for our Father’s kingdom to come, his will be done on earth (in our relationships, families, churches, communities, and nations) as it is heaven.
